Help?

I'm looking for a possible new cover for Night's Knights the print novel.
I have several in mind. As far as possibles I'm looking online at DeviantArt.com
Check out this link... and then come back here to tell me which one (if any) you like for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
I may not get the artist's approval, but I want your guys feedback before I make any solid choices. This also means none of them have hit me as the PERFECT one. If you have any suggestions, let me know too.
I'm kind of let down cause the perfect cover art-- the artist will not let me use, borrow, or buy! Grrrr..

Not knowing any of the plot details it was a bit difficult picking a cover that would work, but I will say that is some AWESOME work you where able to get.

Now without further comment here is my top 10 list, (breaks screeching) oops I mean my top 4, since there is only 4. Oh to avoid confusion they are ranked top favorite down to least although i do love them all. Oh if any of the female characters are based on real women, uhm yeah I'll stop there never know when my wife may read this. :) Just kidding dear (just in case)

Unfortunately the artist is uncooperative. I found out later it was because it was a composite of many author's work.
Now, I know it didn't really fit the book. But I saw a connection. If anyone can guess what the connection is... I'll give them a prize! :) This is a hidden quiz question. Wonder how many people will see it and try to answer?; ▶ Reply to This

As for the symbolism I'm not sure what it is at all and wouldn't even try to really guess. I just find it a great image. The desolation and look of the image is just so impacting. The moon in the background and a beautifully figured woman standing among the decay shielding possibly shielding herself from that around her with the small parasol. I can see why you like it, granted that's just what I see and have no idea what you are talking about. LOL; ▶ Reply to This

I don't know what the connection could be. I see the decay/desolation that Knightmist mentions. The woman is looking down -- so I wonder if she is hiding her face. If so, she could be hiding from the desolation or from the cleansing rain, or she could just be sad....

She is sad at the desolation, which is fully revealed by the light of the full moon. She is looking down at herself and connects herself to the desolation. She hides from the cleansing rain and from the revealing light of the moon, but her cover is inadequate, so she knows that she cannot hide forever.; ▶ Reply to This

He only speaks Turkish so I had a Turkish friend translate for me, but I trust this Turkish friend to tell me the truth and translate properly. When I asked if he was interested he yelled at me in txt! Hhehee. He told me never to contact him again and that he didn't want to make his art a job. I said fine, good luck... He still yelled. Hhehee. I never responded just kind of backed away. It was my friend who did the undercover work to find out about why he was so mad.; ▶ Reply to This

Well on 2nd thought could be cause I don't want to guess and find out I'm Wrong then drop one wrong answer out making it easier for others.

The story on the image now that is really really pathetic on the artists part. I mean ok you borrow from others just be honest about it don't try to cover it by screaming like a kid cot using a paper purchased off a website.
