I coulda sworn we had a topic about this... but can't find it!
A/o see this movie?
I was so not impressed.
I guess the graphics and stuff were good and slimy stuff kept going in her mouth, but I just didn't buy it and people didn't react the right way.
How would the boss keep standing there while her nose blood spurt in his face?
And why the hell would they let her come back the next day to work w/out a dr. excuse or something. The way our country is so paranoid with illnesses??? Not happening.
The bad logic in this flick killed it for me.
Sigh, that sucks Em I loved this movie and yes there is a review out there for it that I wrote. I can see your point though if you look at this film and watch the logic it can be disappointing. However, for me knowing it was Sam Raimi and the stuff he did in the Evil Dead series I knew to shut my brain off when seeing it. LOL Granted I can say the same thing about the brain after his spiderman movies too. :)
Some disbelief is needed for horror isn’t it? Someone always says something in the basement of the haunted castle like, "lets split up!" or "the car broke down in the dark and the rain and we thought we would ask you hillbillies for help."
Lmao ok guys... I'll give that to you. I think I just couldn't get past the way the office people acted. It was almost as if she wasn't really seeing what the real deal was there. I know if blood spurt out of my nose into the bosses face like that... like spurting so fast and hard... there would have been a report, 911 called, a leave of absence... I just couldn't get around it. After a 2nd thought... I think if the bank episodes didn't happen (after the inital old lady scene of course) I could have probably enjoyed it more. It just seemed like no one involved in those scenes had every really worked in an environment like that or they would have been yelling "cut". It just makes me feel like they didn't do the homework and then I get mad. Hhehee. But the other stuff was good. I guess I'm one of those people that if something pisses me off... I just can't get past it. And... I am not a Spiderman fan at all... can't like the lead or the villian.
Just saw this the other night.
I thought the plot was a little hackneyed in general. Gypsy curses are so retro!
I concur, the bloody spew bit was ludicrous, and gratuitous.
But yeah, it is Mr. Raimi.
So, I wasn't surprised.
