John Carpenter back in Action

Ok folks, I came across some information and screen shots of John Carpenter's upcoming film "The Ward". Below is a synopsis from the website Firstshowing.net and a link to the article on the movie which includes the Screen shots.

I for one am very pumped to see John Carpenter back in the directors chair and I'm so hoping that this film gets a theatre run and doesn't become a direct to video special.

The Ward is an intense psychological thriller set in a mental institution where a young woman, Kristen (Amber Heard) is haunted by a mysterious and deadly ghost. As danger creeps closer, she comes to realize that this ghost might be darker than she could have imagined. I probably otherwise wouldn't be interested in this if it weren't John Carpenter. I just hope it lives up to some of his better films and isn't another Ghosts of Mars. As far as we know, this doesn't have a US distributor and was produced independently. We're not sure when this will arrive, but it is still shooting and will probably be ready by next year some time.

i didn't know about this but i'm so glad u shared it with us! i love haunting movies! i checked out the photos. the wheelchair photo makes me think of the changeling, the orginal. it has an old wheelchair on the vhs cover i rented..yes vhs lol. but this movie sounds really good. thanks knight mist!
