In this era of vamp-related fan fiction, it's common to see fan fiction featuring half-vampire children. The Twilight series of books even includes a half vampire child, eventually.

What's your opinion of these half-vampire children. Does it make sense to you that something that is DEAD can create new life?

You can likely guess from my question what camp I'm in. what's your opinion?

I haven't gotten that far in the Twilight series, but I can already tell you my opinion. There have to be penalties with being undead. And one of those should most certainly be the inability to bear children. Once you have immortality -- there must be a balance to offset such a gift.

What do others think?

My personal opinion is that a vampire is indeed DEAD.

Vampiric tadpoles don't have any wiggle left, unless you jiggle Igor's petri dish, and a lady vampire's eggs ain't gonna hatch.

Okay so my thoughts on this are as follows: No way in earth, heaven or hell can a vampire have children. Not possible. They are undead, visavie not alive either. That being said, no children . . . ever.

My vamps will never, ever have children.

I think it depends on if the vampire is made undead to be made a vamp or if it is in the other realm where vamps are born that way. Born vamps, I think I'm ok with. Dead vamps? Hum... can the dead vamps create children? Like is all the equipment working in that way? I think that would be more of the demon-type vamp. More like demon spawn.
