I finally got a chance to listen to the stories. Good work. They gave me a lot to think about. Very creepy. Congratulations to EMZ on the release of the book. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in Second Life.

Emerian,
Of course I read the whole book. It was a good day.
And thank you for mentioning us WWW in your Acknowledgements. :-)
I'll post some reviews early next week.

Sure, i can send you a picture. ALso next week. There's no school today here, so I'm pretty limited in what I'll get done.

Thanks for letting me know you're out of Fractured Horizon stuff. I have things I can send.

Thanks R.E.!
LMAO! Heather... I think "yucky drippy" was exactly what I was going for!
I am so glad you got it! I was hoping I did the online postage right. For some reason they don't have that size box on the order form weird. Anyway... DID YOU JUST SAID YOU READ THE WHOLE BOOK JUST NOW??? OH! maybe you read the inscription. Or maybe you read really fast. Lmao.
I'd love to get a picture of you holding my book like you did for someone else we shall not name.

Ok-- speaking of sending out stuff... I am sending out tons of mailings right now... books, companions, etc... and here is the list of stuff I have for you guys. If you want me to keep distributing your stuff, send me more.

Heather- completely out
Arlene- You were very generous, I still have stuff of yours.
Rhonda- Your stuff is running out. Bookmarks and cards. And please get well!

Everyone else... if you'd like me to insert your ads in my mailings, plase send them to:

I got my WWW prize pack today and it was filled with great stuff http://pic.gd/16de7d. I loved getting a signed copy of Night's Knight and just finished reading it. Great job Emz!
My daughter demanded The Fox bookmark. My son, on the other hand, threw away a card with Emz's book cover on it because it was 'yucky drippy'. I salvaged it from the garbage, laughing. It's an awesome cover and got a very visceral reaction from him.

R.E. I don't think any of us are ready for a contest now. I'd be happy putting it off for a year. Just testing the waters for Emz, who needs more notice in order to put it on the calendar. I sincerely hope and expect things to go well for you. Marketing is a pain, but I'm glad that you've started to get comments. Excellent! Your book is in the Podioracket.com show notes this week as a 'New Release'. It will be fun when we finally get to do an interview.

Rhonda's down with H1N1 so we're canceling the last few BTR shows. Just our regular RSS Raise a Racket and we're done for the year! I'm so ready.

Arlene, I hope NaNoWriMo goes well for you. I'm between projects, which naturally makes me itch to take something on. I'm going to start a new novel but there's no way I can make a 30-day run at it. It took me years to do the first one.

Kate- Welcome!

Emz- Good work. Oh, and thanks for sending me my tent bits in SL.

EMZ- I finally listened to the Halloween episode and it was great! Thank you for mentioning my book. As for my story, I don't think it's meant for public consumption. Arlene read it, so she can chime in. I have a couple of other stories, but I'm not sure they fit in at Horror Addicts. I could always write something new, though...

Congrats on the great signing! That's awesome! I used to live in Half Moon Bay and I love Bay Books there. I hadn't realized there was one in Concord too.

H.E.- I'm trying to squeeze too much in and am spinning around in multi-tasking overload. I am doing some new writing--it's a novel for kids, since my kids aren't allowed to read most of what I've already written. Then I'm also in podiobooks record/audio edit mode. I'm trying to get one episode of Dreaming of Deliverance out a week. I'm probably going to record episode 8 today. And then there's self-promotion so people find out about the book. That's where I'm really spinning my wheels, but I guess I'm making some progress. I had my first comment the other day at the podiobooks blog from someone I don't know--and she said she's really enjoying it, so that made me feel great.

Arlene- Good luck with Nano! I've never done it but I know it's been great for a lot of people. Have you participated in other years? Hope you get unstuck soon!
Arlene Radasky Comment by Arlene Radasky on November 4, 2009 at 6:39am
I'm doing Nano and my brain is stuck.
I think Both Rhonda and I asked that we keep the pieces to flash/very short stories for WWW.
H.E. Roulo Comment by H.E. Roulo on November 4, 2009 at 1:00am
I asked about contest preferences but it has been quiet enough that I still feel free to run it any way that strikes my fancy. Is that REALLY what you ladies want?
Any of you doing NaNoWriMo? Have any new projects? I'm editing boring old stuff again and would love to hear about something inspiring.

If anyone would like to steal this little graphic to link chicks back here, please be my guest.
Emerian Rich Comment by Emerian Rich on October 31, 2009 at 4:59pm
Wow, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
R.E.: Thanks! Yes, I love my show and I think that the WWW contest was done well. I loved all the stories and I think the chicks did a great job at kicking some male horror writers ass! Hhehee. I’m not bias or anything. Your story sounds rad. Too bad I already booked Season 4. I can put your name down for Season 5 though if you like.

Kate: Welcome!!! We are glad to have you in our ranks. Perhaps you can participate in the next contest we have in 2010. Heather is going to organize as far as I know. She will be polling you guys about a few things… unless she already did. I’m soooo behind!

Gals—the signing was absolutely fab. The book store was worried about not getting any people in. I had 44 sitting… more lurking. Sold tons of books… read aloud (and didn’t die) gave out tons of goodies. It was really rad. It loved the young people that came up. They were all very shy and cute and star struck. Especially the boys. Way funny.
The Amazon push didn’t go as well… not enough sold to make an impact, but then again I have promised my hard core fans a mega-pack on my site soon, so a lot of them have been emailing me that they are waiting for that. I will be posting some pictures soon from the signing. Omg… one of the bookstore staff dressed as Claudia (my favorite vamp) it was sooo awesome! I am sooooooo tired all I can think of is going to the Sushi place with my husband for our 15th anniversary and then crashing on the couch as we watch SG-1. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Arlene, I am so sorry I missed your reading. I was on my way to the Emilie Autumn concert at that time. AWESOME SHOW! But since we are now all in SL, I'm sure I will be there for another one. BTW- I've added you and Rhonda to be able to alert the Horror Addicts Group of events, so if you guys need a crash course in sending a notice, let me know.
